At Jot, we strive to deliver a great signing experience for all parties, just like how you work hard to give signers a good signing experience. To ensure that we consistently deliver the best possible service to our signers, we utilize a rating system. This system allows us to recognize and reward our notaries for providing exceptional service.
The work you do matters and we want to acknowledge when you go the extra mile. Keep reading for answers to commonly asked questions and tips on how to secure a 5-star rating on your next Jot signing.
**Please note, your rating will reflect signings completed on or after December 7, 2023. Any signings completed prior to this date will not be reflected in your overall rating.**
How is my rating calculated?
Your overall rating represents the average score derived from all of your signings. You will receive a rating for each signing you complete based on a variety of criteria. These criteria include:
Confirmed Appointments |
Confirm the appointment with the signer right away, or 1 hour before the signing time at the latest. Failure to do so will slightly impact your rating. |
Signing Status |
Mark the signing status as “signed” within 2 hours of the signing start time. Failure to do so will moderately impact your rating. |
Conduct |
Act professionally at all times, attend all scheduled signings, and forfeit signings at least 24 hours in advance if necessary. Failure to do so will significantly impact your rating. |
Scanbacks |
Return your scanbacks within 4 hours of the appointment time. Failure to do so will moderately impact your rating. |
Errors |
Be diligent in your work to avoid any errors, such as missed signatures, missing page(s), or a missed stamp. Failure to do so will moderately impact your rating. |
How can I get a 5-star signing?
The best way to achieve a 5-star rating is to follow all instructions within the platform, complete tasks on time, and provide top-notch customer service. We have some helpful tips for conducting an excellent signing here!
I want to improve my rating. What can I do?
Your overall rating is the average of all your signings. Each 5-star rating you receive contributes to enhancing your score.
I just signed up. When will I have a rating?
When you first sign up you will not have a rating. You’ll start seeing a rating once your first signing is completed and feedback is recorded. To view your rating, navigate to the Ratings tab within your Jot profile.
Will I see a breakdown of my score, or just my overall rating/average?
You can see your overall rating, and view specific ratings and scorecards for individual signings under the Ratings tab.
If I cancel a signing, will that affect my rating?
It depends. If you forfeit a signing more than 24 hours in advance, your rating will not be affected. However, if you cancel within 24 hours of the signing, a forfeiture may lead to a reduced rating.
We understand things may come up that require you to cancel a scheduled appointment, however, we encourage our notaries to be punctual, and reliable by keeping scheduled signings as often as possible.
Do ratings expire after a certain time period?
Ratings do not expire, they continue to accumulate as you take on more signings and are reflective of the average score of all completed signings.
Does my rating affect whether or not I will get signing offers?
All active Jot notaries are eligible to receive offers. Providing an excellent signing experience is the best way to score a high rating and maximize your potential with Jot.
