We understand that sometimes the fee offered for a signing may not meet your expectations. To ensure our notaries are fairly compensated for their services, we offer a counter offer feature within the Jot™ platform. This article will guide you through the steps to make a counter offer before accepting or declining an offer.
Why counter offer?
Making a counter offer allows you to request a higher fee for your services. It's a simple way to ensure you get the compensation you deserve while maintaining flexibility and control over your assignments. Just keep in mind that submitting a counter offer does not guarantee you the assignment.
Here’s how to make a counter offer:
1. Locate the signing offer you would like to counter from your notary dashboard.
2. On each offer card, you will have the options to “Accept”, “Decline”, or “Counter Offer”.
3. Click on the ellipsis (…) in the top right corner of the offer card. This will open a menu with the option to make a counter offer.
4. Select the "Counter Offer" option from the menu.
5. Enter the amount you wish to counter offer with and click "Submit."
6. You'll see a confirmation that your counter offer has been sent. The Partner Management team will review your counter offer and you'll receive a confirmation message if you are assigned to the signing.
Important tips
- Submit your counter offer promptly to avoid missing out on potential assignments.
- Submitting a counter offer does not guarantee you the signing assignment.
- Being reasonable with your counter offers will help maintain a good relationship with our team and increases your chances of acceptance.
